Odds and Ends

Justin is obsessed with the tractor and had a fit when I took him off yesterday. I took him for a ride and he was driving the tractor until the neighbor decided to hop on as well.

We tried to show Justin how to eat with a spoon tonight at supper and he got the idea but it was just a little messy! He is starting to understand when we teach him new things.

I caught Justin as he was taking his first 4 or 5 steps yesterday. He was so excited!

13 months old

I caught Justin when he got up yesterday. Just wanted to post a picture because he turned 13 months old. Already.

Justin has been going to daycare for the past 2 days full-time and has been an angel. I think it helped that he goes for most of the day and can fully integrate the routine. Things have been much better than when I was sending him only a few mornings a week. She got to know him really well in a few days. She says that he is independent, climbs up on everything, eats a lot and chats constantly. That about sums it up. I am relieved that things are working out and am almost ready to go back to work! Almost!

Car Show

We went to Expo Agricole today in St. Bruno where Grandpapa was showing one of his cars. Justin was extremely interested and wanted to touch everything. Congrats to Grandpapa who won 1st prize!

Just tired

Where you see Justin you usually see Yogi. Esepcially when Justin's sleeping!

We went for a walk yesterday after a dip in the pool and on the way back Justin was asleep within minutes. He didn't even wake up when we got home.

Grandpapa's tractor

Before heading home, we stopped at Grandmaman's and Grandpapa's for lunch. Justin saw the tractor and wanted to get on. He wasn't sure at first but got over it quickly.

Mont Tremblant

Justin was getting really tired of the car and about 20 minutes before we got home, he made himself gag and threw up all over his car seat. It was disgusting! He did it not only once but twice! Here he is sfter i tried to clean him up a little.

We took the gondola to the top of the mountain (We were too lazy to walk up). The view was beautiful.

When we were having our lunch, Justin tried to get into the cooler. He finally succeeded!

The village is much more impressive than we expected it to be. There are people everywhere and there is as much action as there is in the winter.

We saw this when we got out of the car to go visit the village. They were very close.

Parc du Mont Tremblant

Ready to go!

Justin was filthy of course so I decided to give him a bath (Of course I didn't skip a night!!!!). He actually really enjoyed it and didn't even try to climb out!

Just hanging around the campsite that evening.

Here's Justin in the new baby carrier we just bought. He seems to like it.

We went for an 8km hike once we were settled in to visit the Chutes aux Rats. It was beautiful.

Justin wasted no tome when we got to the tent and quickly started snooping around.

After the Zoo, Yannick and I decided to stay in the area and rent a hotel room. There was northing available in Granby so we headed a little closer to Montreal. Here's a picture of Justin in the tub the following morning.

We decided to do some camping during our vacation and headed to Mont Tremblant for some luxurious camping. We rented a Huttopia tent. It's a new concept and we wanted to try it out. Everything is included. Justin was a relaly good boy and was asleep by 8:30 so we were able to have a nice quiet supper.

Granby Zoo

It ws really hot outside so we went to the water park. All the kids really enjoyed the water.

Some of the animals we saw...

This was the only way Justin could see the animals because there were people everywhere.

Nanna and Papou relaxing.

As if we hadn't done enough driving to go to Nove Scotia, we had the brilliant idea to go to the Granby Zoo last weekend. We had a good time and the kids were perfect but it was packed! I guess everyone goes nuts when we have a little nice weather!

Justin at 12 months

A real little boy. He loves cars and tools!

We had just gotten back from Nova Scotia and while I was putting stuff in the fridge, Justin found a pera and started to eat it. Apparently, he likes pears!

Chutes aux Galets

After our hike, we decided to go for an ice cream. Justin kept coming back for more!

Here he is having his lunch.

We had our picnic close to the falls and Justin wanted to go in the water right away.

Here we are ready to go.

We decided to take advantage of the nice weather and went for a picnic and hike today. Justin was a good boy and din't say a word.

Nova Scotia

Nanna and Pappy went for a walk with the kids when we went to Hubbards Beach. They haven't had much of a summer in Nova Scotia either and the beach was packed!

Justin didn't like the ocean much either because of the loud noise of the waves and prefered to sit and play in the sand.

We went to visit Sharon at the cottage one night. It was another beautiful day so we were able to go swimming in the lake. Justin actually enjoyed it this time! Here he was spending a special moment with Chloe and Auntie.

Justin was much happier when Pappy was pushing him in the swing!

Nope, it's not going to work Pappy!

The weather was beautiful all week and we got to the water many times. On Sunday, we went to Kearney Lake (where we sepnt a lot of time as kids). Justin usually loves the water but wasn't so enthusiastic about the lake when Pappy took him in.

Here's a cute picture of Justin and his great grand-father.

Oh yes, Ka and I had the brilliant idea of going to Nova Scotia ( a 12 hour trip) with Nanna and Pappy with all 3 kids in one car! Sometimes, I wonder about the things we decide to do! We survived. The kids were actually awesome in the car and didn't say a word. Once we got there, things went downhill. Our kids were out of their element and not always on their best behavior! I understood that routine is really, really, really important! Justin cried more than I've ever heard him cry and Jayden and Chloe wouldn't sleep so we had our hands full! It's a good thing we had Nanna and Pappy to help us out with kids when they were around!
